South Shore Children's Center is now a licensed center to accept school aged children for before and after school. We are located at 350 Higbie Lane. (the former Westbrook Elementary School) The before and after school program is available to West Islip School District children in grades K-5. Our before-and-after-school program is available to bridge the time between school and a parent's work schedule. Our warm and loving staff offers the school aged child a place to relax and play with friends; and opportunities to explore, grow, and learn in a safe, secure environment. Children stay busy and stimulated by a wide range of teacher planned child-directed activities in which fun and learning go hand-in-hand. There's even help with homework.
Morning Program SSCC provides a morning program for students in grades K- 5 beginning at 7:00AM. Parents must provide transportation to the center. Transportation is provided from SSCC to the school the child attends.
After School Program Students are transported from their home school to SSCC. Upon arrival, a healthy snack will be provided. The program operates Monday through Friday during regular school days from 3:15 pm-6:00PM. Please call the center for rate information.
