South Shore Children's Center Pre-K program offers a Kindergarten Readiness curriculum filled with activities that develop the necessary skill sets so your child can confidently begin their elementary school years. We use an interdisciplinary curriculum, incorporating key skills into a monthly theme. Readiness skills will foster a sense of independence by encouraging self-help skills, alphabet recognition/phonemic awareness, handwriting, fine and gross motor activities, and large and small group activities. Number recognition and concepts are taught through hands-on experiences with manipulative and concrete objects. Our goal is to develop an eager learner that will be able meet the academic and social challenges ahead.
